The Skull Knight only manages to slash at Griffith's back once before being forced to dodge an attack by Zodd, who has come to Griffith's defense. Griffith uses his powers to manipulate the tear that the Skull Knight rent through space, removing it from the air behind his back and holding it like a rope. He reveals that he'd been suspecting that the Skull Knight would appear as he always does in events which involve the God Hand.
Griffith manipulates the tear so that it is placed over Ganishka's real face. The tear opens up, splitting Ganishka's face in two and opening a portal; Ganishka's being 'twice reincarnated', (gone through the Apostle ceremony twice) along with the power provided by the Sword of Actuation has opened a portal into the deepest layers of the Astral world.
The portal opens so widely that the giant Ganishka's cranium is completely opened into a circle as wide as his torso. Even the smaller Ganishka monsters fighting against the Hawks on the ground's heads have opened up. There is a massive explosion - a white light emanates from the giant Ganishka's portal to the Astral world.
The Hawks stare in awe as the light sweeps over them, spreading outward from Ganishka.
